The 2026-27 UEFA Women's Champions League hits the midpoint of its league phase this week, with Matchday 3 split across Wednesday and Thursday. Only one team has collected maximum points so far, and four rounds remain before the knockout playoffs in February.
Wednesday's games include Chelsea against Roma, Bayern Munich against Real Madrid and Servette against OH Leuven, all at 1:45 p.m. Eastern, followed by Arsenal against Benfica and OL Lyonnes against Inter at 4 p.m. On Thursday, Austria Wien host Juventus and Paris FC face Hacken at 1:45 p.m., before HB Koge meet Barcelona and Manchester City take on Paris Saint-Germain at 4 p.m. Paramount+ is streaming every match, with select games also on CBS Sports Golazo Network and CBS Sports Network.
Barcelona, the reigning champions, are the side to beat. At Monday's Ballon d'Or ceremony the club was named best club, Pere Romeu won women's coach of the year, Vicky Lopez took best young talent and Cata Coll was named best goalkeeper. Alexia Putellas, now at London City Lionesses, won the women's Ballon d'Or, largely for her final season with Barcelona, as the voting window ran from August 2025 to July 2026.
On the pitch, Barcelona beat Paris FC 5-2 on Matchday 1 and then thrashed Roma 6-0. Ewa Pajor, the Polish international, is now the all-time leading scorer in the competition's group and league phases with 18 goals. Barcelona travel to HB Koge, the Danish side that earned its first win by beating Servette 5-1 and may play with little to lose.
OL Lyonnes opened with an 8-0 rout of Servette, with Melchie Dumornay scoring twice and Marie-Antoinette Katoto adding a hat trick, but they were then shut out by Chelsea, whose goalkeeper Hannah Hampton starred. They now face Inter, who are unbeaten with a win and a draw and are making their tournament debut. Chelsea host Roma, who have taken just one draw from two games and look set for another early exit.
Bayern Munich against Real Madrid could reshape the table. Bayern gave up a two-goal lead in a draw with Manchester City, then won 3-0 at Benfica, where Pernille Harder scored her 50th Champions League goal and became only the fourth player to reach that mark. Real Madrid have drawn both of their games, and Linda Caicedo and Felicia Schroder are hoping to build a dangerous attacking partnership.
Paris Saint-Germain, who struggled badly last season, drew 1-1 with Real Madrid after trailing for more than 70 minutes and equalizing from the penalty spot. They then beat OH Leuven by five goals and now meet Manchester City, who are still hunting their first win. Arsenal, the 2025 champions, beat HB Koge on opening day and drew 2-2 with Paris FC, which has raised questions about manager Renee Slegers and her tactics despite goals from Alessia Russo and Georgia Stanway. Mariona Caldentey is managing an injury ahead of the Benfica game.
At the other end of the table, Hacken and Servette have no points. Hacken meet Paris FC on Thursday, and the team that drops points could fall out of the race for a top 12 finish. OH Leuven have also struggled to score, while Manchester City and Real Madrid cannot keep drawing for much longer.
