Police returned on Wednesday to the Chester, New Jersey, home where Brooke Hanlon, a young mother, was found stabbed to death nearly five months ago, according to neighbors who spoke with Fox News Digital.
Neighbors said at least 15 law enforcement vehicles were parked at the residence on Pottersville Road and that officers remained on the scene until around 11 p.m. Hanlon's husband, Conor Hanlon, was seen speaking with police at the property on Wednesday afternoon, the neighbors added.
Conor Hanlon has denied any involvement in his wife's death, and no arrests have been made in the case. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office told Fox News Digital it has no updates regarding the investigation. Brooke Hanlon leaves behind a 1-year-old daughter.
The renewed police presence comes weeks after officials released Hanlon's autopsy, which ruled her death a homicide caused by "sharp force injuries." The findings confirmed what the Morris County Prosecutor's Office had previously announced in June.
According to a 911 call obtained by Fox News Digital, Conor Hanlon was the first to discover his wife unresponsive. During the call, he told the operator, "There's a laceration" on his wife's body as the operator guided him through performing CPR.
"I just found my wife (inaudible) CPR, I need CPR instructions," he can be heard saying on the recording. "I need you here. I need you here immediately."
Neighbors told Fox News Digital that in the months since the killing, Conor Hanlon has frequently returned to the Chester home and spends nights there. Earlier, he had been dividing his time between Chester and the Boston area, where his family is originally from.
Officials have not disclosed whether a murder weapon was recovered at the scene. In a previous statement to Fox News Digital, Brooke Hanlon's family said, "We have full and unwavering confidence in the investigative efforts of law enforcement."
