Jay-Z will perform at the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show, scheduled for Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

In a statement, the artist reflected on his career path. "From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey," he said. "Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world's biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true."

The news follows a year of celebrations under the banner "Jay-Z 30." He opened the series as a headliner at the Roots Picnic in late May. In July, he played three sold-out shows at Yankee Stadium marking the 25th anniversary of "The Blueprint" and the 30th anniversary of "Reasonable Doubt." He also performed in Paris and London, and sat down with Rick Rubin for an eight-part docuseries, "Jay-Z in 8," in which he discussed hits and deep cuts from his catalog.

Over the weekend, he wrapped up his global run of tour dates with two nights at SoFi Stadium. Guests included Scarface, DJ Khaled, John Legend, Blue Ivy Carter, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Too Short.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league has worked closely with Jay-Z and Roc Nation for several years. According to Goodell, when the NFL first agreed to have Roc Nation produce the show, he made one request: that Jay-Z perform himself one day, whenever the timing felt right to him. "I couldn't be more excited for fans around the world to experience the artistry, creativity and cultural impact he will bring to the Super Bowl stage," Goodell said.

Oliver Schusser, Apple's Vice President of Music and International Content, called Jay-Z's influence on global music culture "as profound as it is undeniable." He said Apple has collaborated with the artist in recent years to bring prominent performers to the halftime stage, and expressed confidence that this year's show will be "incredible."

Viewers will be able to watch on ESPN, ABC and Disney+, as well as on mobile devices through NFL+. ESPN's Spanish-language telecast will be offered on ESPN Deportes and Disney+, and Univision will carry a separate Spanish-language presentation. Roc Nation will serve as executive producer, and Hamish Hamilton will direct.

The most recent halftime show featured Bad Bunny, who celebrated his Puerto Rican heritage with a set that included a mock sugar-cane field and a Puerto Rican vecindad with a barber shop, a liquor store and a casita. Guests there included Jessica Alba, Karol G, Cardi B, Young Miko and Pedro Pascal, while Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin appeared as surprise performers. The show averaged 128.2 million viewers, above the 124.9 million average for the game overall but below the 133.5 million reached by Kendrick Lamar in 2025. Usher held the previous record with his 2024 show.

Last month, Bad Bunny won his first Emmy for the performance, in the outstanding special (live) category. The show collected seven Emmys in total, including awards for musical direction, choreography, sound mixing, lighting design, technical direction and camerawork, and directing.
