The NBA schedule for Tuesday, Oct. 27 is light, with just four games on the board. Bettors still have plenty of player prop markets to consider, and the SportsLine Projection Model has identified two that stand out.

The model simulates every NBA game 10,000 times. According to SportsLine, it has returned nearly $19,000 in profit for $100 players on its top-rated NBA picks since 2018, including five straight seasons with profits in the four-digit range. Entering Week 2 of the 2026-27 season, it is 26-10 (72%) on top-rated spread picks dating back to last season.

The first recommended play is Josh Hart to go over 7.5 rebounds against the Pistons, listed at +102. The Knicks have opened the 2026-27 campaign 0-3, which SportsLine describes as a bit of a championship hangover. Hart has remained productive on the glass through that stretch, pulling down 27 rebounds across the three games.

The matchup also appears to favor him. SportsLine notes that Detroit's front line had trouble containing opponents on the boards in the playoffs, and it calls Hart one of the best rebounding guards in the league. The props model projects him for 9.2 rebounds on Tuesday, comfortably above the line.

The second pick is Luka Doncic to go under 31.5 points against the Trail Blazers, priced at -105. The Lakers star is coming off a 52-point performance against the Jazz, which might make a high total seem reasonable at first glance.

However, Doncic has shot below 40% from the floor in two of the team's three games to start the season. SportsLine expects his percentages to improve eventually, but it does not see that happening against Portland.

The Trail Blazers were 12th in defensive rating last season and rank third in that category to start this season. That suggests Doncic's inefficient shooting could continue on Tuesday. The SportsLine props model projects him at 29.4 points, more than two points under the posted number.

Both selections come from the model's projections rather than a guarantee of results, and the lines cited reflect the odds listed at the time of the original report.
