Nordstrom Rack has opened a new store in Lakewood, adding another location to the Denver metro area. The 24,000-square-foot shop is in the Denver West Village shopping center at 14357 W. Colfax Ave. and held its grand opening on Thursday morning.
Kimra Perkins, general manager of Denver West Village, welcomed the new tenant. "As Denver's premier shopping destination, one of our top priorities is to provide an exceptional shopping experience for residents and visitors alike," Perkins said. She added that the arrival of Nordstrom Rack "further elevates our expansive portfolio of offerings, providing our shoppers an even more diverse and rewarding retail experience."
Nordstrom Rack is the off-price division of Nordstrom Inc. It sells clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty products and home decor, with discounts of up to 70% off. Some locations also offer online order pickup, returns and alterations.
The Seattle-based fashion retailer has also opened a new store of the same size in Dillon. Dean Insalaco, vice president of leasing at Miller United, said his company was glad to have the retailer at Dillon Ridge Marketplace. "We're excited to welcome Nordstrom Rack to Dillon Ridge Marketplace as part of our continued commitment to the Summit County and resort communities," Insalaco said.
According to the company's website, Nordstrom operates two full-line stores and 11 Nordstrom Rack locations in Colorado. Together they employ more than 1,000 people across the state.
Besides the new Lakewood and Dillon stores, Nordstrom Rack has Colorado locations in Aurora, Denver, Westminster, Boulder, Lone Tree, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins and Longmont.
Denver West Village is owned and managed by Simon Property Group. Its tenants include World Market, Barnes & Noble, Marshalls, Whole Foods Market and Old Navy, along with other major retailers. Colorado Mills, another Simon property, is located nearby.
