OpenAI and Google have struck a deal that will put OpenAI's GPT models on Google's platforms, including Google Cloud and the company's Antigravity tool, according to an announcement made on 2026-10-21.

On Google Cloud, the models are due to arrive "in the coming weeks." OpenAI said that "Google Cloud customers will be able to purchase OpenAI frontier models via the model garden, transacted through the Google Cloud Marketplace."

The arrangement means enterprise customers who hold "spend commitments" with Google Cloud can choose to use OpenAI's models within those existing agreements.

Google Cloud's model garden already offers a mix of options. It carries Anthropic's Claude models, open models and Google's own Gemini models, so the OpenAI addition would widen an already varied catalog.

Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, framed the move around customer choice. "We are focused on giving customers a broad selection of models, including those from OpenAI, so they can choose the right model for any given job, helping to deliver optimal quality and lower costs," he said.

The announcement also confirmed that OpenAI models will come to Antigravity, Google's tool, as well as to Gemini Agent. No firm timeline beyond "soon" was given for the Antigravity rollout.

Antigravity already supports models from Anthropic. Claude Opus and Sonnet 4.6 are available to free, Plus and trial accounts until November 2, while Opus and Sonnet 5.5 models are offered to paid subscribers on Pro and higher tiers.

Neither OpenAI nor Google has said which GPT models will be included on Cloud and Antigravity. The original report suggested that GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol may be among them, but that is speculation rather than confirmation.
