Samsung is continuing to push out its One UI 9 software, which is built on Android 17, to a growing list of Galaxy phones. The latest wave covers some of the company's best-selling mid-range handsets as well as flagships from the previous generation, including the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy A36.
By this point, dozens of Galaxy smartphones have received the update, and the rollout is still widening. Samsung is delivering the software to devices in additional regions while also moving on to older models in its lineup.
Among the newest recipients is the Galaxy S23 series, which counts as one of the more recent last-generation Samsung flagship families to get the upgrade. According to the report, the stable version reached South Korea about a week before the article's date of 2026-10-21 and has now arrived in Europe. The US and other markets are expected to follow very soon.
Foldable owners are also in line for the update. Samsung is sending the new software to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in South Korea and Europe, with more regions to be added later.
The company's Galaxy A series, which includes its most popular smartphones, is seeing a number of One UI 9 releases as well. SamMobile has been documenting the specific models that have received the update.
Beta testing is still running in parallel with the stable releases. The Galaxy A16, for instance, appears to be approaching the likely end of its One UI 9 beta program. That suggests its stable Android 17 update could be only a few weeks away.
9to5Google says it is tracking every stable Android 17 release from Samsung and will keep readers informed as the rollout continues to expand.
