With hardware prices rising sharply, buying a pre-built gaming desktop has become one of the more practical ways to get a new system. One such deal is now available on the ABS Cyclone Aqua, which is priced at $1,499.99 and built around an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of video memory.
The machine is aimed at gamers who want performance at both 1080p and 1440p. Alongside the graphics card, it includes a 20-core Intel Core i7-14700F processor, 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB solid-state drive. Anyone trying to assemble a comparable system from separate parts would struggle to match the price, according to Tom's Hardware.
The RTX 5060 Ti is one of Nvidia's current-generation mid-range graphics cards. It has 4,608 CUDA cores and a boost clock of 2,527MHz. Unlike the power-hungry top-tier RTX 50-series cards, it needs only a single eight-pin PCIe power connector, which sidesteps concerns about burning GPU cables. Tom's Hardware's review of the 16GB model found strong performance from this Blackwell card at 1080p and 1440p, particularly with ray tracing enabled, when compared with rival cards in its class.
The card supports DLSS in full, including multi-frame generation, which can lift frame rates in demanding games at higher resolutions. Its 16GB of GDDR7 memory also gives it an edge over the 8GB versions often found in other systems at a similar price, providing more headroom for resource-heavy titles at 1440p.
On the processor side, the Core i7-14700F remains a popular choice for gaming even though it is a little older. The Raptor Lake Refresh chip has eight performance cores, which matter most for games, and 12 efficient cores for multi-threaded workloads. It reaches a maximum turbo speed of 5.4GHz and has a 65W TDP. At 1080p or 1440p, the chip should not create much of a bottleneck in modern games.
Memory is 16GB of G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5 running at 6,000 MT/s, so buyers avoid slower DDR4. The capacity is a compromise compared with 32GB, but there is room to upgrade later, and DDR5 offers some extra longevity.
Storage comes from a 1TB Patriot P410 SSD with Gen 4 speeds, enough space for Windows and a couple of large AAA games. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and gigabit Ethernet for a wired network connection.
The $1,499.99 price makes the Cyclone Aqua an affordable route to a 1440p-ready system, especially with prices climbing elsewhere. Tom's Hardware cautions, however, that there is no guarantee the price will last long.
