The CMF Clip Pro earbuds have fallen to $69 at Amazon, the lowest price recorded for the product. They normally sell for $99, so the sale takes roughly $30 off the usual cost.
The earbuds come from Nothing and use a clip-style, open-ear design instead of rubber tips that sit inside the ear canal. According to 9to5Google, which first flagged the offer on October 22, the discount appeared without any obvious reason, since Nothing has no clear occasion for a sale in the middle of October.
The open-ear format is aimed at people who exercise. A writer at 9to5Google who bought a pair in August said they chose the clip design because they dislike the pressure changes that in-ear buds can cause during a run, when breathing is heavier. The clip also holds the buds in place better than a typical set, so they stay put during running, jumping or other workouts. Because the ears are not sealed off, wearers can still hear traffic and other sounds around them, which the reviewer described as important when running outdoors.
Battery life is listed at about 10 hours of continuous use per charge. The charging case can refill the earbuds three full times, which adds up to more than 30 hours of total listening before the case itself needs to be plugged in.
The case also carries the CMF Smart Dial, a wheel that doubles as a customizable button in the companion app. Turning the wheel adjusts the volume, and the dial's button offers four additional customizable states.
The earbuds connect to the Nothing X app, which provides several settings. Users can switch on spatial audio, adjust the equalizer, and enable dual connection or low-lag modes. An anti-leakage mode is also included so that people nearby cannot hear phone calls.
9to5Google judged the audio quality good enough for the regular $99 price, and said the $69 figure makes the pair an easy choice for anyone curious about the clip-on earbud trend. The outlet recommended the deal for runners and for listeners who want to keep hearing their surroundings while enjoying podcasts or music.
