The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has released edited body camera footage and 911 call recordings that document the intense law enforcement response to a deadly shooting at a Citibank campus in Tampa, Florida. The incident, which took place on Wednesday, resulted in the death of a female employee and the fatal shooting of the gunman by an armed security guard.

The video captures the chaotic initial moments as deputies arrived at the Sabal Center, a sprawling business development. Officers can be seen rushing into the area and interacting with bystanders to gather a description of the suspect. A deputy is heard reporting that a vehicle had crashed into the property and that the suspect was located inside the building's cafeteria.

Authorities stated that the suspect drove through a fence at the Sabal Park Office Development and crashed into an outdoor seating area. After fatally shooting a woman in that area, the gunman opened fire inside the cafeteria before being confronted by security personnel.

The released audio from 911 calls shows a caller reporting gunfire at the bank while dispatchers coordinated the emergency response. According to the sheriff's office, dispatchers began receiving reports of shots fired at 12:11 p.m. Deputies arrived at the scene within one minute of the initial calls, demonstrating a rapid deployment of resources.

In the footage, an officer eventually announces, "Shooter is down," signaling the end of the active threat. The video then shows deputies escorting people out of the building to ensure their safety. The gunman was later transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

More than 3,200 people were present on the campus when the shooting unfolded. The scale of the response was significant, with over 400 law enforcement personnel arriving at the scene. This group included 367 sheriff's deputies who assisted in managing the emergency and securing the area.

Sheriff Chad Chronister praised the actions of those involved in stopping the suspect. In a statement, he noted, "Thanks to the brave actions by the security team on-site and more than 365 deputies, this unhinged suspect was stopped before he could harm anyone else."

The sheriff's office highlighted the role of an armed Citibank security guard who engaged the suspect in an exchange of gunfire. The guard's actions were credited with stopping the gunman before he could cause further damage. The release of the bodycam and audio footage provides a detailed look at the timeline and coordination efforts during the incident.

The release of this material comes as authorities continue to review the events of the day. The footage serves as a public record of the swift response by local law enforcement and the critical role played by on-site security in containing the situation at the busy business campus.
