The parents of Bryce Borca marked four years since their son was last seen in Eagan with a message of grief and resolve, saying they "still do not have the answers we have prayed for, but we will never stop hoping, asking questions, or searching to understand what happened that night."

Borca was 23 when he disappeared on Oct. 30, 2022. His last known location was Fort Snelling State Park at the end of Yankee Doodle Road in Eagan. According to the account of that night, he had been trying to walk home after an evening out with friends but ended up heading in the opposite direction of his apartment.

In a social media post on Friday, Troy and Carina Borca said the years since their son vanished have brought an extensive search effort but no breakthrough. "Over these four long years, there have been many searches carried out by members of the public, professional search groups, local law enforcement, the FBI, and a private investigator from a surrounding state," they wrote. "As difficult as it is to say, there have been no new developments."

Eagan police said the investigation is still active. Sgt. Dave Streefland, a department spokesman, said the agency's thoughts remain with the Borca family.

"The case remains open, and we continue to review information as it becomes available," Streefland said. "As previously stated, the investigation has not revealed any indication of foul play, and that assessment has not changed."

Since their son's disappearance, Troy and Carina Borca have channeled their grief into Bryce's Blessings, a nonprofit created to honor him and to support other families coping with the loss of a child.

In Friday's post, the couple thanked the family members and friends who have stood by them over the past four years. They also spoke directly to their missing son.

"Finally, to our sweet Bryce," they wrote. "Four years. It is still hard to believe it has been that long since we saw your face, heard your laugh, or held you close. Some days it feels like yesterday, and other days it feels like a lifetime."

"We miss the everyday things most: the sound of your voice, the texts, and how your presence made life feel fuller," the post continued. "Nothing has been the same without you."
