Peacock says its "Friday the 13th" prequel series "Crystal Lake" is now the fourth-most-watched scripted original series the streaming service has ever released.
The show logged 1.3 billion minutes watched during its first 11 days on the platform. Spread across the series' 398-minute runtime, that equals roughly 3.3 million estimated views. By total minutes watched, only three Peacock titles rank higher: "The Best Man: The Final Chapters" (2022), "All Her Fault" (2025) and Season 1 of "The Five Star Weekend" (2026).
Nielsen data also points to a strong showing beyond Peacock's own library. For the week of Oct. 19, "Crystal Lake" was the third-most-watched streaming original series and the third-most-streamed first-season series across all of television.
Online engagement was sizable as well. Sprout Social measured 1.8 billion impressions in a single day and more than 7.6 million video views over the 11-day span.
Brad Caleb Kane created the series and serves as showrunner. According to the official logline, the story centers on "single mother Pam Voorhees (Linda Cardellini) who has been unable to shake her grief after her young, sickly son Jason (Callum Vinson) tragically drowned in the town lake almost a year before." When two strangers come to Pam's door asking about her past, a disturbing chain of events begins, leaving the townspeople of Crystal Lake asking: "Just who is Pam Voorhees?"
The cast also features William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, Gwendolyn Sundstrom, Nick Cordileone, Joy Suprano, Danielle Kotch and Phoenix Parnevik.
Executive producers include Kane, Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox and Roy Lee. The directors are Michael Lennox, Celine Held, Logan George and Quyen Tran. A24 is the studio behind the series.
