Baton Rouge singles looking for love on national television now have a chance to make it happen. Producer ITV America and City Media Entertainment announced this week that they are seeking Baton Rouge area singles to join the cast of "Love Island USA" for its ninth season.
The reality series sends its cast members, known as islanders, to live together in a sprawling villa in Fiji, where they couple up and search for romance while the cameras roll. Season 9 is set to premiere in summer 2027 on Peacock.
According to the show's casting team, the search extends to single people across the country, not just Louisiana. Producers say they want to hear from people of all walks of life, with various backgrounds, passions, occupations, and perspectives.
The team said it aims to cast people who are genuinely open to finding love. Casting directors also noted they are always interested in applicants who have never considered appearing on television before.
Once inside the villa, islanders leave the outside world behind. They live together, form couples, and compete in a series of games and challenges while trying to avoid elimination, known on the show as being dumped from the island. Viewers take part as well, voting for their favorite islanders and influencing how the season unfolds.
Applications and nominations for Season 9 are now open. Hopefuls can apply through the show's casting portal at loveislandusa.castingcrane.com/age-gate. Those who want to nominate a friend or family member can send nominations to [email protected] or reach the casting team through its official Instagram page, @loveislandusacasting.
Applicants must be over 18 years old, the casting team said, and other eligibility requirements may apply. Interested singles in the Baton Rouge area are encouraged to submit their information soon as the nationwide search moves forward.
