Election Day in the United States arrives Tuesday with a packed slate for hockey fans: 11 NHL games, eight of them dropping the puck at 7 p.m. ET, making it a prime night for the multi-cast streaming option.

The marquee matchup sends the Edmonton Oilers to the New Jersey Devils at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu. Connor McDavid has nine goals and 30 assists through 15 games, a pace of 218 points over a full 84-game season that would break Wayne Gretzky's single-season record by three. Connor Hellebuyck has won both of his starts for New Jersey with a 1.50 goals-against average and .923 save percentage, and he is expected to make his first home start as a Devil. As ESPN's Greg Wyshynski wrote in his weekly Wysh List column: "It's the Connor vs. Connor matchup we all want to see."

Earlier at 7 p.m., the Utah Mammoth visit the Toronto Maple Leafs to wrap up their season series, having taken the first meeting 5-4 on Oct. 13. Toronto will be without John Tavares and Kirill Marchenko, but Auston Matthews (11 goals, 13 assists) and William Nylander (10 goals, 11 assists) both sit in the league's top 10 in scoring. Utah is led by Clayton Keller, Logan Cooley and Mikhail Sergachev.

The Winnipeg Jets head to the Montreal Canadiens in a Heritage Classic rematch after Montreal won the first meeting 2-1 on Oct. 25. The Jets carry a nine-game losing streak, while the Canadiens have won five straight and six of their last seven. Montreal's Jacob Fowler was named the NHL's Rookie of the Month for October after posting a 7-1-0 record with a 1.84 goals-against average and .932 save percentage.

The Detroit Red Wings visit the Tampa Bay Lightning with one point separating the fourth-place Lightning from the eighth-place Red Wings in a crowded Atlantic Division race. Nikita Kucherov, who has requested a trade, leads Tampa Bay with four goals and 14 assists, while Alex DeBrincat paces Detroit. Special teams bear watching: the Red Wings convert 23.59% of their power plays, and the Lightning penalty kill ranks 18th.

The Central Division-leading Minnesota Wild take a four-game road winning streak into Philadelphia against the Flyers. Kirill Kaprizov has 15 goals in 16 games, a 79-goal pace, while Matvei Michkov leads Philadelphia with 10. Minnesota holds a sizable edge in goal with Jesper Wallstedt (9-2-3, 2.06 goals-against average.920 save percentage), while Flyers netminders Dan Vladar and Joseph Woll have combined to go 4-8-4.

Also at 7 p.m., the Vegas Golden Knights visit the Pittsburgh Penguins, who want payback for a 6-2 loss in Las Vegas on Oct. 17; Jack Eichel leads Vegas in scoring and Erik Karlsson leads Pittsburgh. The Dallas Stars visit the Washington Capitals behind Jake Oettinger's strong start (1.63 GAA.921 SV%), while Washington's Logan Thompson has struggled (2.93 GAA.898 SV%). The St. Louis Blues and New York Rangers, both fifth in their divisions, meet for the first time this season, with Jimmy Snuggerud and Alexis Lafreniere leading their teams in goals.

The Colorado Avalanche visit the Columbus Blue Jackets, where Nathan MacKinnon enters on a five-game point streak with nine points in that span. Columbus sits last in the Metro but has played only 12 games, fewer than its divisional foes, and Kent Johnson has already matched his 2025-26 goal total. Valeri Nichushkin faces his former Avalanche teammates for the first time since a summer trade to Columbus.

The night closes with the Carolina Hurricanes at the Nashville Predators at 8 p.m. ET and the Anaheim Ducks at the Vancouver Canucks at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN. Carolina's Sebastian Aho is tied for seventh in league scoring with 21 points, and Nashville is coming off a 5-4 shootout win over Steven Stamkos' former Tampa Bay teammates. Vancouver has just three wins in 16 games, though one was an overtime victory over Anaheim on Oct. 27 sealed by Filip Hronek after the Ducks squandered a 5-2 third-period lead. Fans can catch all of the action in the NHL streaming hub and on the ESPN App.
