Paris Saint-Germain winger Désiré Doué is attracting interest from several leading Premier League clubs, according to TEAMtalk. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are all said to be monitoring the 21-year-old France international, with Bayern Munich also keeping tabs on him.
Any pursuer may face an obstacle, though. PSG are reportedly making progress in talks over a new contract that would tie Doué to the club beyond 2029.
In Italy, Juventus have reportedly made Monaco striker Folarin Balogun their number one target for the January transfer window. Tuttosport says the choice is driven by technical and financial factors. The 25-year-old USMNT international is expected to leave Monaco after a summer move to Everton worth €40 million fell through. Atlético Madrid's Alexander Sørloth and Antonio Raimondo, who is on loan at Frosinone, are named as fallback options for Juve.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have turned their attention to AFC Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott after an unsuccessful attempt to sign him in the summer, according to Florian Plettenberg. Liverpool are also said to want to reunite the player with Andoni Iraola. TEAMtalk suggests Bournemouth are considering AZ Alkmaar's Kees Smit and Lazio's Kenneth Taylor as possible replacements for the 23-year-old England international.
Another midfielder drawing attention is Brighton & Hove Albion's Yasin Ayari. TEAMtalk reports that Chelsea, AC Milan, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe are the most eager suitors. The 23-year-old Sweden international's contract runs out in the summer, but Brighton can trigger a one-year extension, which has left his future unclear. He has also been linked with Newcastle United, Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Atlético Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Roma and Juventus.
Elsewhere, former Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has reportedly rejected an offer from Getafe after receiving a lucrative proposal from Saudi Arabia, according to Marca. The 26-year-old is a free agent. He had asked for a net salary of €3 million through the end of the season, a figure beyond what Getafe could afford.
A number of other stories are circulating. Chelsea still admire Everton center back Jarrad Branthwaite, but Everton plan to keep him for the foreseeable future, per Football Insider. Scouts from Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United reportedly watched Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi score a hat-trick against Sint-Truiden.
Bayern Munich are said to be monitoring Nick Woltemade, a Newcastle loanee at Juventus, as they weigh options for a backup to Harry Kane, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Barcelona, Napoli and Juventus are tracking Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall because of his limited minutes this season, TEAMtalk says.
Further reports suggest Manchester United have shifted their January priorities toward strengthening their defense, and Brighton and RB Leipzig could bid for Cremonese loanee Adin Licina of Juventus. Lecce are preparing for defender Tiago Gabriel to leave in January amid Everton interest, Leeds United want a cut-price deal for Porto left back Zaidu Sanusi, and Fiorentina right-back João Mário could seek an exit for more playing time.
