Arsenal are monitoring Atlético Madrid winger Álex Baena as they search for a leading option on the left side of their attack, according to TEAMtalk. The report suggests a deal for the 25-year-old would require an offer of €80 million. Bayern Munich could also compete for Baena, who has contributed five goals and three assists across 11 LaLiga appearances this season.
TEAMtalk also reports that Arsenal could help finance the move by selling midfielder Martín Zubimendi, with Real Madrid and Barcelona interested. The 27-year-old has found regular starts difficult to secure following Bruno Guimarães' arrival. Arsenal would seek approximately €60 million, matching the amount they paid Real Sociedad for him in July 2025.
Juventus, meanwhile, are considering Manchester United striker Benjamin Šeško and Monaco forward Folarin Balogun ahead of the January window, Calciomercato reports. The Italian club want a physical striker and are expected to have about €100 million available for squad improvements. Šeško, 23, has been sidelined by injury since appearing against Brighton in the EFL Cup on Sept. 16. Balogun, 25, could be an attainable option after Monaco accepted an initial €40 million bid from Everton last summer, although that transfer ultimately collapsed.
Manchester United are also assessing their attacking options, with Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney under consideration, according to Football Insider. United are looking to strengthen their depth at center forward and have several candidates on their shortlist. Toney, 30, has registered 12 goals in nine Saudi Pro League games this season. He moved to Al Ahli from Brentford in the summer of 2024.
Barcelona retain an interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lucas Bergvall, Football Insider reports, despite the Sweden international choosing Spurs over the Spanish club in 2024. The 20-year-old has made four Premier League appearances this season and is also attracting attention from Napoli. Tottenham hold a strong position over his future because his contract runs until the summer of 2031.
Al-Hilal have dropped their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, according to TalkSPORT. Despite strong links with the 32-year-old last summer, the Saudi club are not expected to return in January and have no plans to open an overseas player slot. Fernandes has eight months left on his United contract and has yet to agree to an extension.
Elsewhere, TEAMtalk reports that Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have recently inquired about Chelsea winger Estêvão. A Bola says Benfica face competition from Arsenal, Napoli and Barcelona for Monza striker Gustavo Varela, 21. Football Insider also reports that Everton are tracking Minnesota United forward Kelvin Yeboah.
