The NFL's Week 8 schedule takes a break from overseas games, leaving bettors with a slate made up entirely of domestic matchups. Several of the contests could be repeated in the postseason, including Ravens at Bills, Vikings at Lions, Chiefs at Broncos and Bears at Seahawks. The Bills are listed as 3.5-point favorites, the Lions as 3-point favorites and the Seahawks as 3-point favorites, while the Broncos are 1.5-point underdogs.
One spread stands out from the rest. New England is laying 7.5 points to Miami, and if that number holds, the Patriots would be the third-biggest road favorite of the 2026 season.
Other large lines include Bengals at Titans, with Tennessee a 10-point underdog, and Jaguars at Colts, with Indianapolis a 7.5-point underdog. The Rams are 7-point favorites over the Chargers in an all-Los Angeles game that has the Chargers playing as the visitors in their own home stadium. The Chargers are seeking both their first win and their first cover of the season. They are the only team without a win against the spread, and every team in the league has at least two losses against the spread this year.
SportsLine's computer model simulates each NFL game 10,000 times. According to the source, it is up more than $5,000 for $100 players on its top-rated picks since it began, and it entered Week 8 of the 2026 season with a 58-51 record on top-rated picks dating back to 2024.
Among its strongest calls is Pittsburgh covering as a 3.5-point home favorite against Cleveland, with the total set at 38.5. The Steelers have won 22 straight home games against the Browns, a streak that goes back to 2004. Pittsburgh is one of three teams to be 3-0 against the spread at home this season, while Cleveland is 2-2 against the spread on the road. The Browns have the league's No. 28 scoring offense, and the Steelers have scored 30 or more points in back-to-back home games. The model has Pittsburgh covering well over 60 percent of the time.
The model also likes the Rams to cover the 7-point spread against the Chargers in a 4:05 p.m. ET game, with a total of 43.5. It has Los Angeles covering in well over 50 percent of simulations. The Chargers are the league's last winless team and have lost nine straight dating back to last year. Over that stretch, quarterback Justin Herbert has 12 turnovers and six touchdowns. Jim Harbaugh's team has also failed to cover in any of those nine games.
Sean McVay's Rams, meanwhile, are 6-2 against the spread in non-conference games since 2025, the second-best mark in the NFL. The model projects a victory by a touchdown or more and has the Over hitting more than 60 percent of the time.
The model has also made picks for every other Week 8 game and projects seven teams to win by double digits, which could matter for those looking at alternate lines. The full set of picks is available through SportsLine.
