President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Russia is preparing a new wave of strikes aimed at Ukraine's energy sector, bridges across the Dnipro River and civilian infrastructure, citing intelligence received by Kyiv.

Speaking in his evening address on 6 November, Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces were already organizing their response to the anticipated attacks. "We now have intel that another strike is being prepared, targeting our energy sector, bridges across the Dnipro, and civilian infrastructure. The Air Force and the Armed Forces of Ukraine overall are preparing to protect us. It's not easy," he said.

The president stressed that Ukraine's ability to defend itself depends heavily on the pace of Western military aid, singling out the need for interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems. "We need interceptor missiles for our Patriots. Every agreement matters, and every day counts when it comes to deliveries. We're asking our partners very strongly: please don't put off deliveries," he said.

Zelenskyy also disclosed that he had held talks with the team in charge of Ukraine's long-range strike operations, and announced that Kyiv would respond in kind, saying there will be corresponding strikes against Russia.

On the diplomatic front, the president described what he called an important conversation with the NB8 countries, the Nordic and Baltic states. "They have been briefed on our needs ahead of winter. And we're counting on that support coming," he said.

He added that Ukraine continues to push for the organization of meetings in formats that would involve the Americans, Europeans and Russians. "It is not easy, but we need to get onto the diplomatic track and move towards ending the war. We are coordinating with our partners. Ukraine is doing everything to make peace happen," Zelenskyy said.

The address also touched on internal military matters. Zelenskyy said that he and the Commander-in-Chief are preparing personnel decisions within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, though he gave no details about the planned changes.

Closing his remarks, the president expressed gratitude to the country's servicemen and women. "I want to thank everyone serving Ukraine!" he said.
