PHILADELPHIA, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said Monday that offensive coordinator Sean Mannion and quarterback Tanner McKee will keep their roles despite a six-game losing streak. With Philadelphia at 2-6, Sirianni said the responsibility for finding answers extends across the team, with him and Mannion bearing particular responsibility for improving the offense.

The Eagles have averaged 17.1 points per game this season, placing them 30th in the NFL during Mannion's first year directing the offense. Their latest defeat came Sunday night against the Washington Commanders, who won 27-10. McKee finished that game with 212 passing yards and an interception.

Sirianni rejected a change to his coaching staff and said Mannion would continue calling offensive plays. He described the team's difficulties as a shared problem and said the coaches must identify ways to move the offense forward. His response left the personnel in those two key roles intact while opening other parts of the team's approach to examination.

Mannion arrived with the assignment of introducing a system closer to those associated with Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay, an effort to update an Eagles offense that had become stale in 2025. A former NFL quarterback who was still playing in 2023, Mannion had only two years of coaching experience before taking on the Philadelphia role.

A series of personnel disruptions has complicated the installation of that system. Right tackle Lane Johnson retired suddenly, multiple skill position players suffered injuries and center Cam Jurgens was traded. The Eagles also lost quarterback Jalen Hurts because of blood clots in his lungs. Those changes have made it difficult to build a stable foundation, and the new scheme has barely taken shape.

McKee has started Philadelphia's last three games, completing 63.2% of his passes for 639 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. "Tanner's our guy," Sirianni said. The coach said possible adjustments include the scheme, the team's schedule and practice plays, adding that the staff is examining what it can do differently.

Joe Milton remains McKee's primary backup. Selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2024 draft, Milton was most recently with the Dallas Cowboys. Philadelphia next hosts the division-leading New York Giants on Sunday before its bye week, with Mannion and McKee remaining in place as the Eagles try to reverse their slide.
